The oil life meter is located on the information display on the dashboard, and will count down from 100% oil life to 0% oil life as you continue to drive the vehicle, at which point the computer will trigger a reminder for you to “Change Engine Oil Soon.” Around the 15% oil life threshold, the computer will remind you that an “Oil Change

Most of the ecoboost problems (in the Israeli market), are common, such as steering wheel pump, turbocharger failure, gearbox repairs, etc. Accept from group, i see other people problems in the Israeli cars forum. So, it was still good. I've been using Amsoil in all my vehicles for the past 4 years and change every 10-12k miles and the tbn is always still pretty high meaning that I could have driven a few thousand more miles. I change my own oil and I think with the almost 8 quarts of oil and filter it was about $120.
Transmission oil change interval. The oil in the Ford Mondeo 4 automatic transmission has its own specific resource, regardless of which engine is installed - gasoline or diesel. Over time, carbon particles, metal chips and other foreign matter accumulate in the assembly, reducing the effectiveness of the gear lubricant.
Probably the likeliest is a thermostat is playing up. If it isn't opening fully, that could explain your problem. If replacing the thermostat, use a decent one. If tap water (plus antifreeze) has been used to top up, enough crud could have been deposited in the waterways to cause a problem.
I use a 2017 Traverse to show how to reset the Change Engine Oil Soon display. This procedures works on pretty much every Chevy ever.
Hi, I have just brought a 2010 Ford Mondeo Titanium 163bhp powershift Hatchback. The gearbox is not in good nick at all, the car seems to jerk from gear to gear, on a cold and hot engine. I took it to a local mechanic who did a gearbox oil service saying it would fix the issue. After the service was complete, the car had the same issue.
17 July 2013 at 9:42AM in Motoring. Checked my oil last week (for the first time in ages) and discovered the level had dropped to the "minimum" marker on the dipstick. It's been about six months since the last service. Topping up took about 1l of oil so it's burning about 1l in six months. The car is about 8 years old and has done 70k miles.
The Ford spec oil is pretty thin anyway, after my last service I checked the oil level after 5 miles and it drips straight off the dipstick, also gets black VERY quickly. If the level is fine that's a good sign, means it isn't getting diluted by diesel from attempted DPF regenerations.
The “service engine soon” light appears when your car’s ECM has identified a potential problem with your vehicle’s engine. The 'service Oil' information message came on yesterday. I've now had the oil and filter replaced but the information message will not cancel. I'd be grateful for any suggestions please. (Mk4 Mondeo 2ltr 140 57 plate)
First, turn the ignition to ON without starting the engine. Second, fully press and release the accelerator pedal three times within five seconds. If the CHANGE OIL SOON indicator flashes two times, the system is reset. If the CHANGE OIL SOON indicator comes on and stays on for five seconds, try to reset the system again.
